How is it named the perfect combination of North American vintage style, Japanese graphics, and British excellent tailoring? Final answer, Superdry!
Yes, in today`s post we`re going to talk about Superdry`s history and actuality. And, of course, as you`re already used to, about their accessories.
Superdry History
The beginnings of this brand are dated to 1985 when it all started under the name Cult Clothing. But it wasn`t until early 2000 that Super Group (this was the name of the brand before 2018) got to have its first store in London and got to gain more visibility on the Stock Exchange.
With the ups and downs of any clothing brand in its way of gaining its place in the industry, the brand slowly differentiated itself from its competition through the perfect blend of qualitative fabrics and stitching and authentic designs. The Japanese graphic designs combine perfectly with the vintage, retro vibes of the Superdry products.
Nowadays it is seen as a brand with exclusive products. It has more than 500 sales points in 46 countries around the world and still growing.
Superdry today
Nowadays Superdry has a strong commitment to sustainable policies regarding its production line. It`s passing through a process of converting its cotton culture into an organic one to protect the environment.
It also got involved in recycling plastic bottles from the oceans to convert them into poly-fill for their padded jackets.
Their latest collaborations also left us speechless. If in the past we`ve seen David Beckham or Idris Elba wearing Superdry clothes and accessories, lately they have brand ambassadors like Campbell Hatton or Neymar Jr.
The British edition of GQ Style had Neymar on its cover after an interview about style, sport, and sustainable clothing under the Superdry signature.
As for us in Top Hats, you know that we are in constant research of cool designs and quality finishes for our cap collections. When talking about Superdry accessories, we went beyond that and made a selection of Superdry caps, bags, fanny packs, backpacks, T-shirts, and hoodies. Check them all here.
Now, at the end of this post, we`re going to leave you a curiosity about Superdry.
- Did you know that…the Japanese texts you see on Superdry products are not necessarily written to have a meaning? The company explained that they often use translation programs to translate certain terms or frasses. That`s why for a Japanese speaker the prints most of the time have no specific meaning.
